My appearance on this WEB was to publicize a series of artistic photographs in black and white (2001). Due to the fact that this content was not receptive, it changed the subject, that would be in the year 2014, leaving only some singular photos and expanding the content to drawings/portraits.
It is difficult to define beauty, some philosophers associate it with satisfaction, with what produces pleasure. Others, however, associate it with the intellect, only an educated mind can value beauty. Without a doubt, seeing the beautiful is accompanied by an emotional component. It is also difficult to know why people like to be accompanied by beauty, one reason is speculation for economic purposes. But this is somewhat sad since the individual who has the beautiful does not do it for its intrinsic value, it is possible that they do not understand what they have, their decision is subject to a series of external elements, around economic value. But there are other reasons, beauty is associated with excellence, with an achievement that is difficult to achieve, with exclusivity, with a source of inspiration, with an emotional stimulus. Possibly these last reasons are the healthiest and justify not only possessing beauty but also making it visible to the owner and the guests. There are also associated elements such as Social Status.
Herbert Marcuse: "bourgeois society has only tolerated the realization of its own ideals in art and only here has it taken them seriously, as a universal requirement (culture)".
Possibly one cannot speak of art without rationality since the very conception requires rationality. Art would be the noblest part of human capacity. And it certainly modulates culture.
This brief reflection can help the reader to detect beauty and justify its acquisition.
The exposed portrait drawings have a realistic and fantasy component. A conjunction that results in the drawing itself. With a clear intention that there is a link with the viewer, that is not alien to what he already knows. Artelista.com also allows personalized works.
